Jose Antonio, a welcoming host and an excellent cook, will accompany you to a deserted village Mongarri, one of the first to appear in the Valley. After a snowmobile or dog sled, at an altitude of 1645 meters, he will offer a classic dinner in Aran house, away from the busy streets and slopes. Val d'Aran is a great place for exploring the snowshoes, the oldest way to navigate through the snow. They are easy to use and lightweight. The first snowshoes were made of birch, with ropes tied to a leg and were dedicated for those who conquered and opened the Arctic.
Snowshoes allow you to walk in the nature in the cold season, when the ground is covered with snow. Snowshoeing can be performed either alone, armed with a map of the routes taken in the Tourism offices, or accompanied by a professional guide who will provide security, decide on the nutritional and act as a guide. Such a walk is an opportunity to visit places which are inaccessible to pedestrians: dinner in a rustic cabin in the abandoned village of Mongarri, admire the frozen lakes National Park, climb the hill Côte de Baretzha (Còth de Baretja) and contemplate the beauty of the panoramic peak Aneto, the highest point of the Pyrenees.

Fans of cross-country skiing (classic and skating style) can use 7 and 40 km trails in a Beret ski area, close to the parking and ski rental spot. For cross-country skiing it is not necessary to buy ski pass, you can go skiing even after the closing of the ski lifts.
There is no public transport to Beret. You can get there by taxi or private car.
Every year in February takes place Beret ski marathon named Marxa Beret, which brings together more than 1,500 participants from around the world. For more information, see here

Heli-skiing has gained considerable popularity in the valley, and today the selection of tops and seats for the start of descent is limited only by security reasons. It is also a great opportunity to admire the beauty of the mountains and valleys from the bird's flight, fly over the famous mountain Montarto, glacial lakes and over one of the last glaciers of the Pyrenees - the peak of Aneto.

Baqueira is often called the St. Moritz of Pyrenees or mini-Chamonix. Located in the south of Europe, this ski station competes with the most famous resorts in the Alps and the United States. In contrast to the alpine slopes, Spanish resort features a relatively small height and shorter slopes. The ski areas get easier, and slopes - safer. Vertical drop when running an average of 800/1000 meters.

The most gentle and beautiful slopes - Dossau, Blanhiblar and Bonaigua, experienced freeriders ride in areas Bassiver, La Peülla, Teso dera Mina, where the inclination of slopes can reach 50°.
